Blacksmith
Blacksmith AKCBL Chakra-Closed full motion shoe
This shoe is good for Ring bone, collateral ligament desmitis, navicular syndrome, chronic laminitis.
This shoe has a small surface area in contact with the ground, a limited thickness in contact with the hoof and flat nail head beds; it is fitted under the centre of the hoof and shortens the lever arms to the coffin joint centre of rotation. This shoe facilitates break over in all direction. As a consequence, the asymmetric stresses on digital joints, on digital collateral ligaments, on the deep flexor tendon and on the inferior check ligament are reduced. It is suitable if the horse is intolerant to dorsal extension and the medial-lateral digital extension tests. It is especially appropriate for the treatment of; degenerative joint disease (ring bone), navicular syndrome, collateral ligament, chromic desmitis. This shoe allows the horse to independently manage the palmer angle. The holes can be driven in the areas required. No shaping on the anvil is required, but only the removal of excess material. It is extremely easy to fit, therefore very useful when shoeing two feet as different angles.
